Located on the western shore of Lake Livingston in Polk County, Texas, Lake Livingston State Park covers over 635 acres of forested hills and water frontage. The park's geography is defined by the vast freshwater reservoir, which spans more than 83,000 acres, providing ample opportunities for fishing, boating, and paddle sports. The park’s surrounding landscape is characterized by dense pine forests interspersed with hardwoods such as oaks and hickories, supporting diverse wildlife including white-tailed deer, wild turkeys, and a variety of songbirds. Established in 1974, the park was created to offer public access to Lake Livingston’s recreational potential.
